The Serbian People Took the Fate Into Its Own Hands, Says Slovene Foreign Ministry

Ljubljana, 25 September - Despite a number of irregularities at Sunday's elections in the FRY, the Serbian people clearly expressed its will for democratic changes, for an end to the policy that led into isolation, and the will to become part of the European family of nation as soon as possible, the Slovene Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in a press release on Monday. Although official election results are still not known, it is possible to say according to data gathered from independent sources that the Serbian people took the fate into its own hands, which was demonstrated by the heavy turnout at the elections, wrote the Slovene Foreign Ministry, saying that an official stance on the elections in the FRY will be issued after official results are published.
