Economics Minister Explains Replacement of Acting Director of ELES

Ljubljana, 27 September - According to information available to the Ministry of Economic Affairs Slovenia has been selling electricity to Austria well below normal selling price ever since the national electricity supplier, ELES, stopped supplying electricity to Croatia two years ago. At Wednesday's press conference Minister for Economic Affairs Joze Zagozen assessed that this has cost Slovenia some SIT 8 to 9 billion (38.46 - 43.26 million euros) in income and labelled that as one of the main reasons for last Thursday's dismissal of acting ELES general manager Vekoslav Korosec.
