Slovene Minority Will Not Attend the Procession at the 80th Anniversary of Carinthian Plebiscite
Klagenfurt, 29 September - SLOVENIA/AUSTRIA/MINORITY
The Slovene minority in Austria will attend the special session of the Austrian provincial parliament to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the referendum in the Austrian Province of Carinthia, in which the majority of Slovenes opted for Austria rather than their home country. However, the Slovene minority will not take part in a procession in the capital of Carinthia. "This was not an easy decision", President of the National Council of Carinthian Slovenes Bernard Sadovnik told STA.
