Weekly Review of the Slovene Economy from 23 to 29 September
Ljubljana, 1 October - Last week the government adopted three decrees referring to the setting of prices of crude oil derivatives, which include lower excise duties. As a consequence, the monthly incomes of Slovene petrol companies will drop by SIT 50 million (240,000 euros), which was a reason for widespread dissatisfaction among petrol traders. Minister of Economic Relations and Development Marjan Senjur is convinced that the complaints by Slovene petrol traders were unjustified, since the prices of three oil derivatives in Slovenia will compare to those in Europe.
