Furubjelke: EU Enlargement Priortiy of Sweden's Presidency
Ljubljana, 4 October - The enlargement of the European Union will be besides environment and employment a priority of Sweden's presidency of the EU in the first half of 2001, Viola Furubjelke, chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Swedish Riksdag, told press on Wednesday in Ljubljana. Slovenia is among the forerunners for the EU and Sweden expects it will be one of the first new members, probably in 2003, Furubjelke said.
