Slovenia Signs an Agreement on Membership in the European Environment Agency
Brussels, 9 October - Slovenia's Minister of the Environment and Physical Planning Andrej Umek and his counterparts from other ten candidate countries signed agreements on their countries' full membership in the European Environment Agency (EEA) in Brussels on Monday. The EEA is the first of eleven EU agencies that enables candidate countries to join in even before their accession to the European Union.
