Italian Senate Starts Debate on the Minority Protection Act

The Italian Senate on Tuesday started the discussion on the act to protect the Slovene minority in Italy, which was passed by the Italian parliament on 12 July. At a joint session of the constitutional and the education commissions, the Senators Felice Besostri and Luigi Biscardi of the Left Democrats made a presentation of individual articles of the act. The session will continue on Thursday, 12 October.
