Delo: Normalisation of Relations in the Region of Former Yugoslavia Will Be Tough
Ljubljana, 12 October - The headache that usually follows long, raving parties is increasingly catching. The celebration after Milosevic's defeat in the West is being replaced by caution. The whole of Europe has doubts. EU foreign ministers have opted for lifting part of the sanctions against Yugoslavia. Carrot policy will be now even more delicate, especially in case Belgrade comes up with some surprise about Kosovo. And when the West, which has means of pressure, has doubts, the restraint of close neighbours is the more understandable. Normalisation of relations among the countries in the region of former Yugoslavia will be a tough task, for Slovenia too, Delo states in Thursday's issue.
