Foreign Investments to Slovenia Come Mostly from Austria

Foreign direct investments (FDI) to Slovenia expressed in US dollars dropped last year in comparison to 1998. The FDI flows were somewhat scarcer compared to 1998, while the component of reinvested profits stands out, as it has been on the rise since 1994. The value of FDI in Slovenia totalled US$ 2.68 billion at the end of last year, whereby new investments prevailed. Among foreign investors in Slovenia, Austrians represented the largest share, is written in Direct Investment, the regular annual publication by the Bank of Slovenia.
