Bankers Discuss Banking Risks in Portoroz

A two-day consultation on banking "Analysis of Banking Risks" opened at the Slovene seaside resort of Portoroz on Thursday. Bankers were informed about current issues on the introduction of the new security scheme for deposits and the bank's position regarding taxes, on domestic and foreign tendencies in the development of accounting standards and on proposed changes of international standards of capital adequacy of banks. The guest of the meeting was the governor of the Bank of Slovenia, France Arhar, who stressed the importance of both the pricing and finance stability, which presents the key for achieving economic growth in the long run.
