More Tourists in Slovene Health Resorts
Ljubljana, 13 October - 327,185 tourists visited Slovene health resorts in the first nine months of 2000, which is a 15.3-percent increase over the same period last year. The number of Slovene tourists rose by 8.6 percent over 1999 to reach 217,047, while that of foreign guests was up by 31.3 percent. Among the latter there were most Austrians (33.5 percent), followed by Italians (19.1 percent) and Germans (18.3 percent), the Slovene Spas Community reported on Thursday. The number of foreign tourist nights in Slovene spas in the first nine months of 2000 rose by 29 percent over the same period last year.
