CoE: Slovenia's Electoral System Changes Not in Conflict with Democratic Standards
Strasbourg, 16 October - The Venice Commission has established that the adoption of constitutional amendments concerning the electoral system in Slovenia is not in conflict with European democratic standards. Such was the opinion passed by the Council of Europe Commission for Democracy through Law (aka Venice Commission) last Saturday and communicated to the Slovene authorities on Monday. The opinion was given at the request of Prime Minister Andrej Bajuk.
