France Contributes 600,000 Francs to the ITF
Ljubljana, 18 October - French Ambassador to Slovenia Olivier de la Baume and Director of the International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance (ITF) Jernej Cimpersek on Wednesday in Ljubljana signed an agreement by which France pledges to contribute 600,000 French francs to the ITF. This will be the second French donation to the ITF, a fund managed by Slovenia. As has been the case with the first donation, the funds will be allocated to the demining in Bosnia. So far, France has donated 1,200,000 francs. The French ambassador used the opportunity to praise ITF activities and excellent relations between Slovenia and France. He stressed the outstanding efficiency of the ITF and in particular the transparency over where and for what cause the ITF spends the donated money.
