Slovenia Is on the Right Path, Says Admiral Venturoni
Ljubljana, 19 October - Admiral Guido Venturoni, chairman of the NATO military committe, who arrived for a two-day visit in Slovenia on Thursday, stressed that the next NATO enlargement would be political, but that it was nevertheless important that that NATO candidates meet military criteria. Slovenia is on the right path, said Venturoni, adding that its advantage over some of the other candidates is that it builds its defence system anew and is not facing the problem of the reduction of armed forces. It is important that you remain realistic in defence planning, Admiral Venturoni told Slovene officials as reported by the Defence Ministry.
