Slovene Pilgrims Attend Mass in St. Peter's Basilica, and Are Joined by Pope

Vatican City, 26 October - A mass was celebrated before 4,000 pilgrims who took part in a Slovene pilgrimage to Rome in the Holy Year 2000. After the mass, which was offered in St. Peter's Basilica by Ljubljana Archbishop and Slovene Metropolitan Franc Rode, pilgrims were joined by the Pope John Paul II, who addressed them in Slovene.
