Reformation Day to Be Celebrated in Slovenia
Ljubljana, 30 October - Slovenia marks the Reformation Day on 31 October, remembering the year 1517, when the German Protestant Martin Luther nailed 95 theses on the reformation of the Catholic Church to a church door in the German town of Wittenberg. This new movement inspired by Luther soon reached Slovenia, where it was embodied in Protestant priest Primoz Trubar (1508- 1586).
