Slovenia to Play an Active Role at the EU-Balkans Summit, Says Croatian Official
Zagreb, 31 October - Slovenia will have the status of an active participant and not that of an observer at the EU-Balkans summit, which will take place in Zagreb on 24 November, said the assistant of the Croatian Foreign Minister Vladimir Drobnjak at a news conference on Tuesday. According to the Croatian official, the invitation to Slovenia to participate at the summit of the EU and the countries of West Balkans was addressed to Slovene President Milan Kucan. It is in Slovenia's direct interest to solve the succession issue of former Yugoslavia, therefore the country will actively participate at the Zagreb summit, Drobnjak said.
