Weekly Review of the Slovene Economy from 28 October to 3 November
Ljubljana, 5 November - Slovene motorists experienced what is becoming a familiar story this year: another increase in the prices of petrol. The tenth rise in petrol prices this year alone, saw most types of petrol, with the exception of diesel and heating oil, increase in price by a good 5 percent. The reason behind all of this was the rising U.S. dollar, which, did however, fall SIT 11.17 during the week to stand at SIT 239.88. Following all the increases in the price of petrol, among other things, Slovenia's year-to-year inflation in October stood at 9 percent.
