Kučan: Churches One Of The Foundations Of A Democratic Society

In connection with the a start of a new year and the first anniversary of the Slovenian Independent Association of Bishops (SŠK), which held a regular meeting in Ljubljana today, President Milan Kučan this afternoon received a group of Slovenian bishops. The reception was attended by Dr Alojzij Šuštar, archbishop and metropolitan of Ljubljana and president of the SŠK, bishops Jože Kvas and Alojzij Uran, Dr. Franc Kramberger, bishop of Maribor and vice president of the SŠK, bishop Dr Jože Smej, bishop of Koper Metod Pirih, retired bishop Dr Janez Jenko and SŠK secretary Dr Anton Štrukelj.
