Central Bank Intervenes in the Currency Market Again

The Bank of Slovenia changed the base exchange rate on Tuesday in what is a fourth intervention in the foreign exchange market since 27 October, raising the base exchange rate for the euro to SIT 210.66 in a bid to encourage the growth of exchange rate. This move has to be observed by all 22 banks which have signed contracts to that effect with the central bank last March.
