Slovenia Has Been Invited to the EU-Balkan Summit, Says Zagreb

Zagreb, 7 November - The Croatian Foreign Ministry was surprised over the statement by Slovene Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle on Tuesday, who said at a press conference that Slovenia has not yet received an invitation to the Zagreb summit of the EU and the states of West Balkan, although it received assurances by Deputy Croatian Foreign Minister Vesna Cvjetkovic Kurelec that Slovenia would be invited to the summit according to its status. The information office of the Croatian Foreign Ministry told STA that an invitation to the summit had been sent to Slovenia and that the country would have no special status compared to other countries.
