Slovene Intelligence Officials Receive a One-Year Suspended Prison Sentence
Varaždin, 9 November - Two Slovene citizens accused of spying on the Croatian territory were Thursday sentenced to a one-year suspended prison term extended over a period of three years and a five-year ban to enter Croatia. The sentence against Anton Slatinsek and Branko Brezovsek, who were intercepted by Croatian police near the town of Zavrc (eastern part Slovene-Croatian border) on 6 January 1998, was passed by the court of Varazdin, northwestern Croatia, in the absence of the two defendants.
