Ljubljana, 9 November - The European Commission gave a positive and realistic assessment of Slovenia's preparedness for EU membership, as it has identified the continuation of positive trends in negotiations as well as in adoption and implementation of the acquis, the Slovene government said on Thursday after ministers had scrutinised the progress report on Slovenia's accession to the EU which was made public by the European Commission on Wednesday.
