Alcohol and Tobacco Not Uncommon Substances Among Slovene Youth
Ljubljana, 12 November - Consumption of alcohol and smoking of tobacco are fairly widespread among the Slovene youth, furthermore the perception of the Slovene youth to the use and misuse of the two substances is fairly liberal, while their knowledge of harmful side effects to health is fairly poor. This was the conclusion of a survey carried out as part of the Slovene section of the European survey named ESPAD (The European School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs) which encompassed 3660 Slovene 9th grade students. The final results of ESPAD will be known in February of next year.
