Six Frontrunners Would Like Negotiations with the EU Conclude by Early 2002
Budapest, 15 November - Foreign ministers of the six candidate countries that have led membership negotiations with the EU for more than than two years on Wednesday called for concluding the negotiations by the end of 2001 or early 2002 at the latest. That would enable the candidates that are ready to join the EU as of 2003, the ministers stated in a joint declaration passed at their meeting in Budapest.
