Western Wireless International to Invest US$ 150 Million on Slovene Market
Ljubljana, 17 November - The Ljubljana-based company Western Wireless International (WWI), one of the three companies that were granted the government concession for GSM mobile telecommunications services in the 1800 MHz frequency spectrum on Thursday, presented its plans to invest US$ 150 million on the Slovene telecommunications market in the following four months, the company said at a news conference on Friday. Moreover, 200 Slovene experts are to be employed by the company in the upcoming year. The WWI representatives said that this will be the second largest U.S. direct investment in Slovenia, which will additionally encourage co-operation between the U.S. and Slovenia.
