Conference on Rights of Slovene WWII Forced Labourers
Ljubljana, 23 November - The Slovene Society of Exiles from 1941 to 1945 held a conference on rights of forced labourers during WWII in Ljubljana on Thursday. The director of the International Organisation for Migrations (IOM), Dirk De Winter, also attended the meeting. The IOM is liable for compensation of Slovene forced labourers according to the German law and intends to open a Slovene branch office for around 7000 Slovene claimants seeking compensation, said De Winter. The figure is an estimate made by the Society of Exiles.
