Foreigners Are Stigmatised in Slovenia and Their Rights Are Violated
Ljubljana, 23 November - Immigrants' rights are often flagrantly violated in Slovenia. Moreover, they never gain the rights to which they are entitled under the asylum act, and have been increasingly stigmatised in media reports. Immigrants' status has worsed during Slovenia's integration into the EU, an institution which has been closing its door to foreigners. These are some of the conclusions of a debate entitled Immigrants - Illegals? which was held on Thursday evening at Metelkova City, a centre of urban sub-cultures in Ljubljana.
