Slovenia Sees Over 1.7 Million Tourists Until the End of October
Ljubljana, 24 November - Slovenia saw 141,809 tourists in October, which was four percent more than in the same period last year. A total of 82,111 were foreign tourists, which was five percent more than last October. The number of Slovene guests amounted to 59,698, which was up five percent from October 1999. A total of 445,014 overnight stays were recorded, a rise of 11 percent. The number of overnight stays by foreign tourists increased by 11 percent, whereas the number of overnight stays by Slovene guests rose by ten percent, reported the National Statistical Office.
