Candidate for Justice Minister Supported by Parliamentary Body
Ljubljana, 27 November - Parliamentary committee for home affairs and justice on Monday supported the candidacy of Ivan Bizjak for the post of the justice minister with 16 votes against five. His presentation was not approved by MPs of the opposition Social Democrats (SDS), the New Slovenia (NSi) and the National Party (SNS). Bizjak outlined the key tasks of his ministry in terms of legislation as well as in terms of reducing court backlogs, which should be in his opinion achieved in four years.
