Slovene Press on the European Human Rights Court Ruling
Ljubljana, 30 November - Slovene dailies on Thursday responded to the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights, which on Tuesday established that Slovenia violated the European Convention on Human Rights in the case of German citizen Ernst Rehbock. The Strasbourg-seated Court established that Slovenia violated Article 3 (prohibition of torture) of the Convention on account of the treatment to which the applicant had been subjected during the arrest, Article 5 pertaining to the right to liberty and security as well as Article 8, which refers to the right to respect for private and family life.
