Candidate for Education Minister Approved by Parliamentary Committee
Ljubljana, 30 November - The candidate for minister of education Lucija Cok was approved by the parliamentary committe on culture, education, youth, science and sport by 16 votes against four on Thursday. The Social Democratic Party MPs decided against the candidate, while two New Slovenia MPs abstained from voting. Cok's presentation was based on the principles of ensuring quality education for all, non-religious public schools, education comparable to that in the EU and autonomy of schools.
