Mirko Bandelj Appointed Secretary General of the New Government
Ljubljana, 1 December - Mirko Bandelj, a minister of the interior in the former Drnovsek government, was appointed Secretary General of the new government of Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek at the constitutive government session held on Friday. Earlier in the day, Andrej Bajuk, who has led Slovenia's caretaker government since 7 June 2000, handed the office over to new Prime Minister Drnovsek.
