Cattle Breeders Call for Complete Ban of Cattle Imports

Domžale, 1 December - The Slovene Association of Cattle Breeders and the Slovene Union of Cattle Breeders is calling on the government to immediately and fully ban imports of all types of cattle. This includes live animals and meat, including veal meat. The two organisations expressed belief that the ban should encompass all countries, not only the EU. Such a measure is needed not only for the protection of the Slovene breeders, but mainly for the protection of the Slovene consumers, the organisations in concern reported on Friday.
