Elan's Production Increases

Ljubljana, 4 December - The production of skis in Elan, a Slovene manufacturer of sports equipment, has increased since last April and exceeded the plans by 13 percent, the president of Elan, Primoz Finzgar, told press on Monday. Profits from business in the first six months of 2000 amounted to 2.9 million euros. The company, which was in April purchased by the Slovene Development Corporation, reported a net loss of 540,000 euros, which is according to Finzgar less than expected.
