Delo Writes about the Freedom of the Press in Slovenia
Ljubljana, 7 December - The International press Institute (IPI) has recently released a report on the freedom of the press in OSCE member states which establishes that Slovenia is among 12 countries which did not curtail the freedom of the press. Almost simultaneously a study paid for Bajuk's government was released in Slovenia which gives quite different picture of the freedom of the press, Delo points out in Thursday's edition. These days Croatia is witnessing a media scandal of unimagined consequences, which according to the daily makes Slovene discords about the media look like storms in a teacup. "That needs to be spoken out because the authors of the Slovene report dared to compare the Slovene media to Milosevic's propaganda."
