Energy Market to Liberalise Gradually

Ljubljana, 7 December - It cannot be expected that the prices of electricity will drop by as much as 20 percent after 15 April 2001 when the market with energy produced in Slovenia will open up, said Robert Golob, senior lecturer at the Ljubljana Faculty of Electrical Engineering, at Thursday's workshop on the liberalisation of energy market. Golob said to over 80 representatives of companies which are major electricity users that the above date is only an approximate date when "things should start". We will see if this will be the case, he said.
