Court of Auditors Discovers Irregularities at the Agriculture Ministry
Ljubljana, 7 December - The National Court of Auditors has issued a negative opinion on the implementation of the Agriculture Ministry financial plan in 1999. An audit conducted between 9 May and 30 June 2000 uncovered major irregularities. The court has established that a major share of current expenditures was not in accordance with regulations. In addition to that, several irregularities were noted in expenditures related to investments, current transfers and investment transfers. All in all SIT 1.18 billion (5.6 million euros) of funds are believed to be wrongly handled.
