Drnovsek Fairly Optimistic About the Success of Nice Summit
Nice, 7 December - After the meeting of the leaders of the 15-nation bloc with their counterparts from the 15 countries applying for EU membership, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek expressed moderate, but not exaggerated optimism that the EU will reach an agreement on the institutional reform at the Nice summit. Drnovsek stressed that future EU development depended on the results of the summit, while failure would be a negative message to both EU member countries and EU aspirants.
