President Kucan Receives Drnovsek's Cabinet
Ljubljana, 8 December - Slovene President Milan Kucan on Friday received Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek and his cabinet at the beginning of their four-year term. Kucan said that the country stands before major challenges. According with this are expectations of the public and the confidence in the new government, which enjoys strong support in the parliament, which will make its work easier. President Kucan believes that the new government has the opportunity to show that it wants careful supervision over its work, which is the job of opposition parties and the public in every democratic state.
