FDI Can Encourage the Development of SE Europe
Bled, 8 December - The region of Central and SE Europe will make progress only if it attracts foreign direct investment (FDI), said director for East, Central and SE Europe at the U.S. trade office Jay Burgges at the Business Regional Meeting Point (RBMP), which is underway on Friday at the Alpine resort of Bled. The FDI inflow into the region is among other things limited by the lack of economic and political stability of the region, the speed of reforms and the pace of EU integration, and the legislation related to FDI.
