Nice, 9 December - Upon EU membership Slovenia would have its own commissioner at least until 2010, according to a compromise on institutional reform of the EU, discussed by the leaders of the EU member countries on Saturday. Slovenia would also have four votes out of 321 votes of the Council of Ministers, which is as many as Latvia and Estonia and one vote more than Cyprus, Luxembourg and Malta. Slovenia and Latvia would each also have seven out of 700 seats in the European Parliament, more than Estonia, Cyprus, Luxembourg and Malta.
