One million tolars for Slovenian Olympic gold medal winners

The Slovenian Olympic Committee, under an agreement with the Ministry of Education and Sport, has set the cash prizes to be awarded to Slovenian sportsmen and women who win medals at the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. Gold medallists will receive one million tolars, silver medallists 700,000 tolars and bronze medallists 500,000 tolars. In addition, winners of gold medals will be presented with a Nissan sports car by Nissan Adria, the Chairman of the Slovenian Olympic Committee (OKS) Janez Kocijančič told STA in an interview seventeen days before the opening of the Games.
