Slovenia in Violation of Human Rights
Ljubljana, 11 December - The Helsinki Monitor Slovenia proposes general amnesty and granting of citizenships to all 14,000 individuals who have applied for the return of the domicile status within a three-month period at the end of 1999. All requests are to be solved by the end of 2000, but no information is available from the Interior Ministry, which is too busy fighting corruption in obtaining domicile and citizenship status to end the violation of human rights, the head of the human rights organisation, Neva Miklavcic Predan, said on Monday.
