European Commission Donates Two Million Euro to the ITF
Ljubljana, 13 December - The European Commission has donated two million euros of funds to the International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance (ITF), which is managed by Slovenia. An agreement on the donation was signed on Wednesday by head of the European Commission delegation to Slovenia Eric van der Linden and ITF Director Jernej Cimpersek. The money will be allocated to demining activities on the banks of the Sava river on the Bosnian and Croatian sides, as well as to the project of the construction of a Bosnian-Croatian information centre that will gather information and collect mine field maps. This will be the first ITF project demonstrating regional approach and cross-border co-operation.
