Four NGOs Obtain European Commission Funds of 70,000 Euros
Ljubljana, 14 December - Four Slovene non-governmental organisations have obtained financial aid of 70,000 euros from the European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights. The adviser of the European Commission delegation in Slovenia, Vincent Piket, on Thursday handed over the contracts on the aid to the Slovene Mental Health Association Sent, the Association for the Culture of Dialogue For and Against, the Slovene Foundation for Sustainable Development Umanotera and Amnesty International Slovenia. Piket said that the Initiative is a concrete project of the Commission to strengthen the civil society in the country and also helps the country to fulfil the political criteria for EU membership.
