Banks Abanka and Banka Vipa Plan to Merge
Ljubljana, 15 December - The Ljubljana-based Abanka and Banka Vipa from Nova Gorica on Friday signed a letter of intent on integration in terms of operation and capital. The banks will work out a joint strategy to develop products, marketing and technical support for business operation, a measure that follows recent developments in the economic and financial environment. Abanka said that integration in terms of capital will be carried out gradually, through cross holding and the formation of a banking group, i.e. the merger of the two banks.
