Longer Transition Period for the Transformation of Duty Free Shops Sought

Ljubljana, 15 December - The chairwoman of Kompas MTS, a company offering tourist offerings at the Slovene border crossings where it also holds several duty free shops, told STA that the transition period for the transformation of duty-free shops is too short. This in response to the Slovene governent's decision on Thursday to endorsed some supplements to the proposed law which would see the closure of Slovene duty free shops at border crossings with Austria, Italy and Hungary.
