Budget Deficit Down in October

Ljubljana, 18 December - The state treasury recorded SIT 744.6 billion (3.5 billion euros) of receipts and SIT 833.4 billion (almost 4 billion euros) of outgoings in the first ten months of the year. The budged deficit for the first ten months totaled SIT 88.8 billion (423 million euros), according to the November issue of the bulletin of the Finance Ministry. After a deficit had been recorded each month with the exception of March and May, a surplus of SIT 4.7 billion (22 million euros) was recorded in public purse in October.
