Speaker Pahor and Ambassador Ely Raphel Meet

Ljubljana, 19 December - Speaker of the Parliament Borut Pahor met with U.S. Ambassador to Slovenia Nancy Ely Raphel on Tuesday. They spoke about Slovenia's chances for the membership in NATO and the role of the parliament in the process. Pahor said that most parliamentary parties were in favour of Slovenia's membership in NATO. He added that the establishment of more precise criteria for the membership would make the decision-making process easier.
